Blaine founded Badlands Capital in 2021 and serves as the Managing Partner. In addition to serving as Managing Partner, Blaine serves on Badlands Investment Committee.
Blaine graduated with a Bachelors degree in Business Administration from Augustana University and obtained his MBA from Duke University.
Blaine has over 23 years of Private Equity investing experience coupled with 14 years of commercial banking and investment banking. Throughout his career, Blaine has been a member on several corporate and non-profit boards.
As Managing Partner of Badlands, Blaine oversees fundraising, sourcing of investments, conducting due diligence, and portfolio oversight.
Blaine currently resides in Sioux Falls, SD.
Luke joined Badlands Capital as an Associate at the end of 2021.
Luke graduated with a Bachelors degree in Business Management from The United States Military Academy in West Point, NY.
Following graduation, Luke served five years as an Army Officer. During his time in the Army, Luke deployed to Afghanistan for nine months in support of Operation Enduring Freedom.
As an Associate with Badlands, Luke is responsible for analyzing potential investments, conducting due diligence, and portfolio oversight.
Luke currently resides in Sioux Falls, SD.
Ron joined Badlands Capital in 2022 and serves as a Partner. In addition to serving as Partner, Ron serves on Badlands’ Investment Committee.
Ron graduated with a Bachelors degree in Business Administration from Augustana University.
Ron has over 40 years of lending and leadership experience throughout his career with US Bank including 10 years as Regional President and 12 years as a Senior Vice President in Wholesale Banking. Throughout his career, Ron has been a member on several corporate and non-profit boards.
As Partner of Badlands, Ron is involved with fundraising, sourcing of investments, conducting due diligence, and portfolio oversight.
Ron currently resides in Fargo ND.
Stan has vast experience with private equity-owned businesses, as he has spent over 20 years as a CFO and eight years as a CEO to these companies. He earned his BA and MA from Augustana University. Stan currently resides in Sioux Falls, SD.
Eric has over 25 years of diverse business experience in the technology services industry. Eric joined Convergint through the acquisition of his company in 2016 where he currently serves as VP of Innovation. In this role he is responsible for assessing the impact of technology trends, developing strategies for business models, as well as M&A and partnerships for the global business. He graduated from South Dakota State University and resides in Sioux Falls, SD.
Conrad is responsible for investment research, portfolio management, and client advisory at Elgethun Capital Management. Prior to this, he served as an Analyst for Hirtle Callaghan and Abbot Downing in Minneapolis, MN where he advised ultra-high net worth clients. Conrad graduated from The University of South Dakota with a BA in Finance and currently resides in Sioux Falls, SD.
Todd joined Badlands Capital as an Operating Advisor in 2021.
Todd graduated with a Bachelors in Science from South Dakota School of Mines and Technology.
Todd spent over 18 years as an Executive for Concur Technologies. He has spent the past six years as a technology startup Founder. He is an active angel investor throughout the Midwest region.
As an Operating Advisor, Todd works closely with Badlands portfolio companies on strategic initiatives, growth strategies, and provides guidance to management teams.
Todd currently resides in Rapid City, SD.
